Join us on Saturday, November 16th from 12-4 PM and support Hammond VFW Post 3652. Help make this the biggest Wings & Ale Fest yet and show our veterans that their community supports them.
A spokesperson for the post says, “VFW Post 3652 here in Hammond, LA does many things for Veterans in the community. One of the Biggest programs that we have is our “Unmet Needs” fund. This allows us to give a small assistance to any Veteran in the Community that may fall on hard times. This may include helping with a utility bill, so it does not get turned off, or helping replace a tire or battery for their vehicle, as well as getting them a bus ticket to get home after they get stranded somewhere.
With your help by participating in our Wings and Ale Fundraiser at Low Road Brewing this will give us the much-needed funds and help to assist those Veterans in our Community that have many Unmet Needs. Please be generous, come out and enjoy great food and drink at an amazing venue, and help us help our Community.”
Sample homebrews and wings, vote for your favorite, and participate in our silent auction. Proceeds go to VFW Post 3652, allowing them to support area veterans. Tickets are on sale now!

. . FAQs
What can (or can’t) I bring into the event?
Bring your ticket (printed or on the Eventbrite app) and your government issued ID. You MUST show your ID to get a wristband that allows you to sample homebrews.
No outside alcohol is allowed. The brewery taproom will be open if you want more than the homebrew samples.
This is an outdoor event & will be held rain or shine. Bring a jacket, hat, umbrella, etc as needed.
Well behaved & leashed pets are allowed in the festival and in the brewery’s outdoor seating area. Please be sure your pet can resist the temptation of trying to sample the wings and can tolerate crowds. If you’re not sure, your pet will probably be more comfortable at home.
Where do I park?
The Low Road Brewery parking lot will be closed off for the event. The business in front of the brewery, Premier Mobile Home Parts, will be open for business, please do not park in their lot. Other businesses surrounding the brewery will be closed and their parking lots will be available. We will do our best to have attendants to help you cross C M Fagan if you park across the street. The Facebook event page will have a parking map as the event gets closer.
How does voting work?
Each participant will get a ticket to vote for their favorite homebrewer & wing cook. We’ll total up the tickets before the end of the event & announce the People’s Choice winners. We also have wing & beer judges that will critique each wing & homebrew submission and we’ll also announce Judge’s Choice winners.
Can I participate as a homebrewer or wing cook?
Yes! Advance registration is required so we can make sure we have space for you. Email your info to [email protected] to get signed up. We’ll email details to registered homebrewers & wing cooks leading up to the event. Brewery and restaurant employees are eligible but may not use any of the brewery/restaurant recipes, ingredients, or equipment.
Can I pre-cook wings & how many do I need to participate?
Wings may not be pre-cooked, they must be cooked on-site. You can grill, smoke, fry, or any other cooking method you have. You will need to provide your own power source (small generator, propane, etc). We are hoping to work with Sanderson Farms or another supplier again this year to provide a minimum of 30lbs of wings at no charge.
How can I or my business support or sponsor the event?
Send an email to [email protected] and someone will reach out with more information on how you can help. In addition to monetary donations, we gladly accept donations of event supplies, or items for the silent auction as well as volunteers to help day of event.
